Our Mission: The Lakewood Skaters Association was established by citizens of Lakewood, OH, to serve as advocates for skaters of all ages and liaisons to our community, by providing opportunities that promote education and safety for skateboarders and in-line skaters in our community. Who we are: The LKWD Skaters Association was formed at first as a means to raise money for the LKWD Skatepark. Upon analyzing the needs of the community however, we realized there was really no voice for the skaters to begin with. In an effort to organize behind the skaters of our community, we formed an organization to help serve the skaters and parents, as well as to help get a skatepark built for Lakewood. Operating on donations of time and money, we have also worked to provide the skaters with resources for safety and education when it comes to progressing their skills and avoiding injury.
