Premieres "MOSAIC" as Skatepark Benefit!
Saturday, August 9th - The Mosaic/Swiss
Grid premiere was a blast! We had over 240 people show up and we
raised over $2,500 for the skatepark.
Except for a VCR getting screwed up in between showings, everything
went well. Thanks to the Agora for having us and helping out at
the door and Greg the sound guy for putting up with our picky sound
preferences. The LSA would like to thank Chris Carter, Tony Heitz,
Chris Sullivan, and Joe Castrucci at DNA Distribution for hooking
us up with the premiere. For anyone that missed it, you can pick
up a copy in stores in the near future. The best all around video
of the year!

Finally the doors open. This kid
up front looks determined to win some prizes. Billy is already
reaching for his wallet to buy some raffle tickets. |
 |
| Waiting for the show to begin. The 8pm showing
had the biggest crowd. For most skaters, it was the first video
premiere they had been to. Why does everyone look so bored?
Because we made them watch Curb Dogs just to get them amped!! |
 |
Matt Minch and Junior spin some
records to cover up that nasty soundtrack of synthesizers. |
 |
Showtime! Ryan Poorman tosses his
video. Swiss Grid is his first of many future videos (assuming
he gets his driver's license.) |
 |
Dale and Dave Busta keep a low profile
hoping no one will recognize them. They are routinely swamped
by fans. |
 |
Nick Perry thought it was prom night.
I think it's too late to get your deposit back. Brian Kuzma
was his guide that night (Nick can't see through the glasses
but insisted on wearing them.) |
 |
The man of the hour! Gabe Peterson
had the best part of the swiss grid video, hand down! These
ladies came all the way from Chicago to be sure. |
 |
Here are the 3 average facial
expressions you saw during the Mosaic premiere.
(from right to left)
the "What?!?"
the "Oh my God...!"
and
the "I can't watch anymore!" |
 |
Ok, here is what happens when
you have $20 to spend that night. You can buy a T-Shirt and
a Decal and walk away with something for sure.
OR you can buy $20 worth of raffle tickets and win a deck,
a tshirt, and tickets to the Gravity Games!
Billy Mostee played his odds right. Joe Bressler won tickets
as well.
(deck donated by West Side Skates) |
